Nestled in the oak woodlands of Danville, California, this community of ten custom-built new homes has been designed from start to finish with a sustainable approach. HLD Group has been involved with the streetscape and the placement of the homes to retain 24 mature valley oaks. Planting areas will incorporate native plants that grow naturally under these oaks. Natural clay pavers will be used in the street instead of asphalt. Large bioretention areas in the landscape will collect rainwater for percolation onsite, instead of allowing it to run off into the storm drains.
