Victorian Style Garden

This hillside retreat allowed us the opportunity to create a Victorian cottage style garden in an Oak Woodland setting. We planned a series of distinct spaces in the yard connected by flagstone paths designed to feature the existing oak trees. The style of the garden is reflected through carefully selected elements including a painted wood trellis, a circular redwood spa, birdbaths, and a gazebo. Where soil retention was necessary, we used a non-mortared gravity wall system. Our planting scheme also reflects the cottage style and is oak compatible, deer resistant, and drought tolerant.
