The US Department of Energy recognized this 390 unit development built by Clarum Homes of Palo Alto as the largest Zero-Energy housing development of its kind. HLD designed an agricultural buffer zone, which includes a seasonal drainage way. A combination of native grasses and trees provides a seasonal wildlife habitat as well as flood control. In addition, we have designed the landscaping for the entire subdivision, which contains single family homes, townhomes, apartments, and a network of walks that interface with a 5 acre city park.
